By using this website, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
About Proximity Fellowship
Proximity Fellowship is a Christian fellowship Framework. ProximityFellowship.org maintains the public presentation and resources of that Framework.
The Proximity Fellowship Charter governs the Framework itself. These Terms govern use of the website and do not amend, replace, or create additional Constitutional Requirements under the Charter.
Proximity Fellowship is not a denomination, centralized church authority, employer, insurer, or professional advisory service.
Use of the Website
You may use this website for lawful personal, Christian fellowship, educational, and informational purposes.
You must not use the website or Proximity Fellowship name to:
- deceive, impersonate, misrepresent, or falsely imply endorsement;
- interfere with the security or operation of the website;
- distribute malicious code or attempt unauthorized access;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or unlawfully harm another person;
- collect or misuse personal information without appropriate permission; or
- engage in unlawful activity.
We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect its security, integrity, users, or lawful operation.
Local Fellowships Remain Local
A local Proximity Fellowship remains responsible for its own meetings, relationships, leadership, safeguarding, finances, communications, decisions, and compliance with applicable law.
Use of the Proximity Fellowship name does not make ProximityFellowship.org the employer, insurer, legal representative, ecclesiastical superior, or operational supervisor of a local fellowship.
Local Participants remain responsible for exercising appropriate judgment, care, and discernment in their own circumstances.
Fellowship Locator and Introductions
ProximityFellowship.org may make available a fellowship locator, directory, introduction service, or similar feature.
A listing or introduction indicates only a stated relationship with the Proximity Framework. It is not a guarantee of a fellowship’s safety, character, teaching, legality, conduct, or suitability for any particular person.
Visitors remain responsible for deciding whether and how to contact, meet, or participate with others and should exercise reasonable care, particularly when meeting people they do not already know.
Publications and Intellectual Property
The Proximity Fellowship name, website content, Charter, companion guides, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
Individual publications may contain their own permissions and restrictions. Those publication-specific terms govern the use of those materials.
Unless expressly permitted, you may not modify Proximity Fellowship publications, remove attribution, falsely present altered material as official Proximity Fellowship material, or use the Proximity Fellowship name in a misleading manner.
Nothing in these Terms creates ownership over local fellowships or the Christians who use the Framework.
Third-Party Links and Services
The website may link to or use services operated by third parties.
Those services are governed by their own terms, policies, and practices. A link or technical integration does not by itself constitute endorsement of everything provided by that third party.
Information and Professional Advice
Proximity Fellowship resources offer Christian, practical, and organizational guidance within the purposes of the Framework.
They do not replace appropriate legal, medical, mental-health, safeguarding, financial, emergency, or other professional advice where such assistance is needed.
Where a situation involves serious harm, abuse, danger, unlawful conduct, or another matter requiring professional or governmental assistance, appropriate outside help should be sought.
Website Availability and Accuracy
We seek to keep the website and its principal resources accurate, available, and current, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every error will be prevented.
Materials may be corrected, updated, or replaced as the Framework develops. The current Charter governs where another Proximity resource appears to conflict with it.
Responsibility and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Proximity Fellowship and those who steward ProximityFellowship.org are not responsible merely by reason of providing the Framework, website, directory, or resources for the independent acts or omissions of local fellowships, Hosts, Participants, or third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Cookie Policy.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as the website, its services, or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version will be published on ProximityFellowship.org with its effective or updated date.
Continued use of the website after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Applicable Law
Your use of the website remains subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms removes any rights or protections that applicable law does not permit a person to waive.
